Meeting Minutes
- Craig Hughes of GumStix passed out some of the LCDs that were ordered via eBay.
- Craig also showed off his Eagle to Sketchup hack. You can use it to generate a 3D rendering of a board from an Eagle CAD diagram. The hack is an Eagle CAD script that outputs a Ruby script that can be imported into Google Sketchup. At the end of the process, you wind up with a 3D model of the part you're designing in Eagle. Craig says a reference to it will be posted to the list soon. w00t!
- Matt shows off the Jowles interface and talks about what he had to do to get his older way-small GumStix working with the Macintosh
- Discussed the policies of major carriers with respect to sim unlocking.
- Yet another guy began to gripe about the gumstix implementation of miniDIN-8 connectors and eventually sent a message to the gumstix mailing list detailing desired board revisions.
