Meeting Minutes

Craig Hughes of GumStix passed out some of the LCDs that were ordered via eBay.
Craig also showed off his Eagle to Sketchup hack. You can use it to generate a 3D rendering of a board from an Eagle CAD diagram. The hack is an Eagle CAD script that outputs a Ruby script that can be imported into Google Sketchup. At the end of the process, you wind up with a 3D model of the part you're designing in Eagle. Craig says a reference to it will be posted to the list soon. w00t!
Matt shows off the Jowles interface and talks about what he had to do to get his older way-small GumStix working with the Macintosh
Discussed the policies of major carriers with respect to sim unlocking.
Yet another guy began to gripe about the gumstix implementation of miniDIN-8 connectors and eventually sent a message to the gumstix mailing list detailing desired board revisions.
